Where I'm at now

Updated: May 18, 2023

Do you ever get periods in your life where everything you see, hear, read, has a theme. Right now I'm in the middle of a head spinning, energy crowding influx of information about the spiritual and healing world. The analysis (and in some cases collapse) of teachers, gurus, healers and the industry of it. Whats 'good', what's 'bad'; what we should be doing, what we shouldn't be doing, whats 'light' whats 'dark'. Its a really interesting time...actually all times are interesting but, you know what I mean.

Where I'm at now, is seeing another level of just how deeply conditioned we all are, it kind of freaks me out a bit. And, how much of our life is just illusion based on beliefs believing them to be truths. At times I feel I'm chasing my tail of thoughts creating an inner, eye of the storm center where 'what is' rests.

What I actually sat down to write about was this...that we have to work our way through the illusion and not be afraid of looking at the dark if that is what is required...in ourselves and then of course in our work as healers. Explore the Shadow. So complex at times are the layers of a story, the original source of it becomes lost for a while. We need to dig deeply, and watch out for the 'trickery' that can lay around the tunnel in. The puppetry of our own ego, that we worked so hard to build and now must undo. And that of the forces we chose to work with.

At times the world of healing presents a 'stay with the light bright high vibrations' message, with an inference that the dark side of life is to be avoided. Unfortunately therein lies a polarization of our very own selves, a divided soul, as both light and dark exist within us. To push them apart leaves a battle ground in the middle. This is reflected throughout every aspect of our lives. To accept everything as being part of the same; if we are all one, we act and exist together as one. This is how we need to approach true healing.

Having delved deep into the darkness within healing work I have had the honor of witnessing and experiencing profound transformations. Looking deep into the soul with honest compassion and acceptance, with no judgement in our hearts; I have looked a such dark soul searing pain that it is hard to stomach, literally, then had the pure joy of seeing that transformed. The most rewarding work I have ever done, both personally and for others has been directly as a result of embracing and working with darkness. Out of that darkness has been born pure love.
