This 16" natural deer skin shamanic drum for sale has been made using an iron tension ring and is being sold as a bundle set with a rattle made from the same skin and energies.

Deer skin soaked over the Sturgeon Full moon 19/20 August 2024 with rosemary, buddleia, and a variety of beach and sea foraged seaweed collected with permission during recent holidays in Cornwall.
 
Buddleia – symbol of resurrection, rebirth and new beginnings, a thriver in tough conditions
Rosemary – symbolic of love, fidelity, honesty, transparency, longevity and earth wisdom
Sturgeon fish – a symbol of life over which time has no hold, of depth and strength
Sturgeon Full moon – named after the giant fish of the Great Lakes in America.  This full moon is credited with being about strength, perseverance and spirituality.  With an open heart, be your most authentic self, and embrace others and their individuality.
 
The stone collected from a beach of North Cornwall is lined with quartz.
 
I gathered these seaweeds from the same beach and was particularly drawn to what I called the seaweed snake, I have been unable to identify it online.  Fluffy one end, with a long flat tail, it danced and snaked with and around me in the sea, swimming back and forth with the waves, playing a game of chase, until eventually, after I had accepted this entity was not meant to come home with me, it suddenly arrived again in the waters around me. I leaned forward and gathered it – having asked permission of course.  Its energy was playful, mystical, a little…dangerous somehow.  It was independent, strong and had a ‘Catch me if you can!’ attitude.  It made me smile and I was so convinced of its possible sting I was apprehensive about touching it!  So, it showed me the perils of nature, as well as the pleasures and playfulness.  Hold a respectful humility.
 
I don’t usually add adornment to drums but this one was really calling for some felted wool seaweed topped with a wave wash of white rabbit.  My drums come wiht a 2 year guarantee but this will not cover the wool seaweed which is decorative whilst being symbolic.  THE FELTED TRAILING WOOL IS REMOVEABLE.
 
When I first went to write the words to describe hearing her sound, I heard the word Siren.  Hence the name.  This word can carry some negative conotations of danger, and being tempted. To me, the message held here is that of embracing your fears and moving forward anyway, and of finding your soul song, your feminine, elemental, prowess.   It also reminds me of the slight hint of danger I felt when catching the seaweed. The names has some ethereal, other worldly magic held wihin it.
 
The rattle head is filled with clear quartz, angelite, pyrite, black turtle beans and Peruvian tobacco – Mapacho.  With sea shells, white rabbit fur, drift wood, and amazonite.  The shape of the rattle not only conjours up images of coral, it was the shape left from the deer skin being stretched - the outer edge where when the skin is pinned it creates a scallop edge.  The layering of symbolism is incredible.
 
The beater head is filled with raw wool from @nutshellflcok, and is made from drift/fallen wood found on the ground, and leather/suede.
 
I'm listing them as a sacred healing tool bundle for £375.  The drum alone at £320, the rattle at £85 (£405) A saving of £30. This is I believe truely very good value, a high quality drum and rattle set.  Made in ceremony via the portal of my own heart.  Now looking for their forever home.
